Studio munch / Hull Breach

Oh gosh! We want to give you a little insight into the culinary delights that are a big part of the Astrophonica studio sessions. We present to you; The Astrophonica Wrap.

What you need:

Big wraps (middle eastern kind, Hollyland bakery if you can find)
Humous
Feta Cheese
Cherry Tomatoes
Black Durmaz Olives, halved and then stoned
Avocado
Cucumber
Lettuce
Spring Onion (optional)
Mint
Hot Sauce of your choice

Chop it all up as shown in the picture.
Spread some humous on the wrap. (not too much!!)
Delicately lay the rest of the goodies, one by one, in the wrap.
Then wrap it up!!!!
But be careful, if you don’t wrap it right then you might encounter a… HULL BREACH! (yes, that is how we came up with the name)

Peace. Get wrapping…. till the break of dawn yo.

Martin Fieber playing lap steel guitar as featured on Ventura

A video of Charlie Fracture’s Dad, Martin Fieber, jamming it out on the Lap Steel guitar. Martin featured on our track ‘Ventura’ and used this very guitar.
We love the track and Martin totally smashed it Trust me, we were in the background going nuts when he was recording in the studio!!

The lap steel totally makes the tune and gives it the vibe we wanted!

Mad props!!

The video was recorded at The Heathcote blues jam in Leyton, London.

Fracture and Neptune music used in Youtube video

Yooooooooo!

Sometime ago someone showed us this video that a fan of the Toyota AE86 had made.
It seems to be a video of some kind of rally race car ( i know nothing of cars!) and has been cut to one of our tracks; Too Doggone Funky.
We like it and it makes us laugh so we thought we’d share it with you….

Mix – DJ Fracture presents “Making Plans”

Hello again!

DJ Fracture is back with another mix from the crates. Moving away from the classic funk and soul grooves of the last couple of mixes, this time flipping the script with a selection leaning towards 70s/80s/90s rock and pop based tunes.
Lots of the records featured here were first heard as a kid at parent’s parties and have now been imprinted forever…

MIX – DJ Fracture presents “Up In Flames”

Loooooong overdue, DJ Fracture is proud to present “Up In Flames”, the follow up to the Rotten Fruit And Cowfoot On The Ridley Road mix. This is a bit more of a jazzier affair and on retrospect it seems to contain a lot of Rhodes and horns.

This mix was originally a birthday mix for a good friend called Loyce Whybrow. Since then (about 2 years ago!!) I’ve redone it, adding new tunes and replacing some others.
