Greetings gang, nice little gig coming up here for you. The guys over at Temah have been putting on a FREE (yes that’s right, FREE) night over at Plan B in Brixton and have invited us, along with Mark System, to play. This will be the first time we have actually DJed with Mark System after the many, many times we have worked together as DJs & MC or collaborated in the studio.
So get out the house on a Sunday and get yourself’s down to Temah Pt 3 @ Plan B, Brixton.
As we’re sure you’re aware Astrophonica will be taking over room 3 in London’s premier nightclub, Fabric, on Friday 25th of Feb.
In order to warm you up for a night of cosmic drum and bass we saw it fit to ask an artist causing some serious waves at the moment to do us a promo mix. Please put your hands together for Loxy, a true heavyweight of the drum and bass scene with a discography and legacy going right back to the beginning. We are seriously into what this guy is doing at the moment and if you’ve checked his CX podcast series you’ll what to expect. Join Loxy, along with ourselves, Zero T, Rockwell and Mark System on Friday the 25th Feb in room 3.

Keeping with tradition this year is a festive boxing day show on London’s finest, Rude FM. We’ve done quite a few of these over the years and they are always a great laugh, so tune in! This year will see Fracture, System (Digital Soundbwoy) and probably Zero T (Footprints)
Not sure exactly what we’ll be playing but you know it will be hype.
Wow, another Christmas and we’re still here! As hard as it is running a label in 2010, we’re not going anywhere.
It seems as though there’s so much snow this year that old Santa won’t be able to make it out of Lapland as the authorities did not prepare well enough!
But don’t worry, take a step into the digital domain with Astrophonica, there’ll be no delays or adverse weather warnings. So break open the box of chocolates and wrap up in that jumper your Grandma got you and listen, for free, to the sounds of Fracture & Neptune with a piece called ‘Time Trapped’
After what seems like ages we finally managed to sort out a date for an appearance on the BBC! Much love and a massive big up to Fabio for sorting this out.
You can download the interview and exclusive mix featuring all new Fracture & Neptune music now!
This one has been getting regular play and i can tell you now it was great fun to make! It’s now available on The Painting Space EP brought to you by Pinecone Moonshine, from California. It’s available on 3X12″ vinyl & CD. The vinyl is limited to 150 copies so get in there quick to own one! The Equinox and Fanu remixes along with a wide collection of left field drum and bass ensure this will sell quickly and become a collectors item. A huge big up to Nic TVG for sorting this out and long live independent labels releasing vinyl….
Good morning peeps. The guys over at Organic came to the Astrophonica studio to shoot a 2 part video interview and insight into how we work and create the Astrophonica sound. Part one is an interview about our influences, what we have up next and how we feel about running a predominantly vinyl label in 2010. In part 2 we get down the nitty gritty and distort an 808 bass kick through the mixing desk and show you how to put it through the E-mu sampler to get the trademark sound. Oh gosh!
It’s Friday, thank god! And what better way to celebrate than with a mix and interview on the Fabric blog. We really enjoyed doing this mix and we’ll think you’ll agree it’s rather good. Anyway, download it, put it on your Ipod for your journey to the pub, club or house party later tonight. Thanks so much to Oli & Tom at Fabric for sorting this out. Big up….
