Hi guys, we’ve got a nice little show on D&BTV coming up on Wednesday Apr 28th. We’ll be in the studio with the mighty MC System on the mic between the hours of 9-10pm GMT. This will be the first time in ages that we have worked on a studio set with MC System and we are really looking forward to it! You can be sure to hear exclusive and previously unheard Astrophonica, Fracture & Neptune and System tunes. For those that don’t know, D&BTV is the Drum And Bass Arena’s weekly live TV show that features live audio and visuals from a host of DJs playing live sets. Make sure sure you log on and have a look at Astrophonica in action.
After some problems with the first batch of Test Presses we are happy to announce that APHA003 Dust Ball / The Trunk is now in manufacture and should be with us very soon. We are very proud to have this record 100% manufactured in the UK. Everything from concept, to composition, to mastering, to label printing, to pressing. The record is being manufactured at The Vinyl Factory using ex-EMI records equipment, so who knows what classic records have been on the same press?!
For those that don’t know, Mark Bode is the son of the legendary comic artist, Vaughn Bode. Vaughn Bode’s characters pretty much sum up NYC subway graffiti for me. He was a true inspiration to the early writers and his style and characters live on through his son, Mark. We think Cheech Wizard and co rinse out the Astrophonica. Anyway, watch the video.
The Astrophonica voyage continues in another galactic episode which see’s our dynamic duo unleash the peak/morph filter to full effect in ‘Dust Ball’ and ‘The Trunk’. (click for previews)
We hope to have exclusive artwork promo copies on the site mid to late march and full release 26th April
Mastered, manufactured and pressed in the UK on high quality 140g vinyl to ensure your aural pleasure
This week we join DJ Script for our first radio appearance of 2010! tune in to hear what we’ve been doing in the studio recently along with loads of other dubs and classic tunes. Looking forward to this one! Streaming at 192kbps which is pretty damn good
